Asad’s pay is hardly enough to meet his expenses

Patients · April 3, 2019

Asad Ali, the only bread earner for the family, is a 24-year-old man from a tehsil near Gujranwala. He works in a factory which makes surgical instruments. His pay is hardly enough to meet his expenses, as being the eldest he supports his mother and three sisters. They live in a rented house and his sisters stitch clothes to help contribute to the household expenses. His sisters are of marriageable age and Asad is often worried about their dowries, without which he knows no one will marry them.

Stress and financial hardships have taken a toll on Asad as his vision started to diminish a couple of months ago. He went to a local clinic where he was examined and advised glasses. That seemed to work for a while but then two months ago his vision dropped further with no improvement even after wearing spectacles.

One day, while he was sitting with his friends, Asad confided in them about his eye problem. A friend quickly comforted him and told him about LRBT Pasrur and its free services.

Asad went to LRBT Pasrur, where he was diagnosed with cataract in his right eye and given a date for surgery – his surgery was successful. He was extremely happy on recovering his eyesight and is back at work, providing once again for his beloved family and thankful to Allah for giving him a second chance. He has vowed to keep a positive outlook after recovering from his ordeal, he firmly believes that Allah will see him though any obstacles that come his way.
