We are pleased to share that we are collaborating with COMSTECH, a Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) to train ophthalmologists from countries in Africa.
LRBT has joined hands with COMSTECH for this unique project agreeing to a one-year specialized training programme for 15 African ophthalmologists in the subspecialties of Glaucoma and Diabetic Retinopathy at LRBT Tertiary Teaching Eye Hospital, Korangi Karachi.
So far, 10 Ophthalmologists from different African countries have arrived in Karachi to train at our flagship hospital under the supervision of highly qualified and skilled supervisors. The training will cover both medical and surgical training of paediatric as well as adult patients. After completion of the training, the ophthalmologists will go back to their respective countries to join their duties and serve the communities with the advance skills they have acquired from this training.
